JOB SUMMARY
• Performs tasks involving physical labor and painting at residential or commercial building sites
• Works side by side with a painter to learn ALL the ropes

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
• Responsible for loading and setting up jobs and work vehicles
• Able to carry ladders and all tools and equipment needed for the necessary job
• Operates various types of hand tools
• Cleans and prepares site beginning, during, and after. Make sure all areas are plasticed off and covered with drop sheets
• Sand down exterior surfaces and decks
• Assist in pressure washing by filling up back pack with solution, loading truck, making sure windows are not opened, turning on and off water, and rolling up hoses
• Cleans site of all rubble, debris, waste and/or other materials.
• May assist other craft workers
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested
• Paint and stain interior and exterior surfaces as instructed by painters, lead painters, and foreman
• Reports to painter and leader painter

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
• Prepares area(s) to be painted by cleaning, or if necessary, scraping, sanding, patching and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc
• Able to start and finish a pressure washing and deck job from start to finish
• Sand down where necessary using the festool and hand sanding if necessary
• Makes sure yard signs are put out on every job and removed as necessary
• Maintains inventory of paint, paint brushes, and other painting supplies in accordance with Management’s instructions
• Paints areas as instructed by maintenance supervisor or property manager, utilizing appropriate finishes and applications
• Follows OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to use of hazardous chemicals; uses proper ventilation when using paint removers, varnishes, cleaners, etc
• Familiarizes him/herself with storage and disposal laws, regulations, codes, etc
• Thoroughly cleans area, supplies and equipment when project is completed and during
• Report any issues or problems to lead painter or foreman
• Puts remaining paint and supplies in proper location
• May assist with special maintenance projects as needed

Application of protective and decorative paints and finishes to a variety of surfaces 
Methods of preparing various surfaces for painting, repainting, finishing, and refinishing
• Safety precautions required for the application, handling, and storage of painting materials 
Safety regulations pertaining to erecting and working on ladders, swing stages, rigging, and scaffolds 
Harmful effects of hazardous or toxic materials and the protection and safeguards required when working with or controlling such materials

• Acts as a lead and participates in the work of a small group of journey-level workers of the painting trade and other assigned staff engaged in preparing surfaces and painting materials and performing brush, roller, and spray painting work for the maintenance and decoration of buildings, equipment, and facilities
• Manages painters, laborers, and apprentices. Reports back to Foreman
• Knows what is going on from start to finish on all jobs you are on
• Maintains inventory of paint, paint brushes, and other painting supplies in accordance with Management’s instructions
• Paints areas as instructed by maintenance supervisor or property manager, utilizing appropriate finishes and applications

• Highest Field position in Davis painting. $65,000-$85,000 Base Salary Plus Bonus
• Same Responsibilities as the Lead Foreman BUT in addition responsible for visiting all jobs that are going on and making sure everything is going 100%
• Communicates with Lead Foreman and Crew leaders on a daily basis
• Will have weekly meeting(s) with Estimator(s) to run through all weekly jobs
• Ability to run and oversee 3-7 crews at any given time
• Reports any issue back to Estimators
• Can put out any “Fires” that arise without assistance
• Responsible for making sure ALL  customers are 100% satisfied with ALL jobs
